Helpful Websites While in School and after Graduation
http://www.finaid.org/FinAid is an extensive financial aid site for students. Areas covered include student loads, scholarships, saving for college, the FAFSA, military aid, and financial calculators. Other helpful information includes advice for grandparents helping their grandchildren pay for college and what can the student do when the parents refuse to help. The site isn’t glitzy with loads of graphics, instead concentrating on rich content. The site has been highly recommended for lower and upper level undergraduates.
http://www.wetfeet.com
WetFeet was founded in 1994 by two MBA students who looked for, but failed to find information to guide them through the research, preparation and interview process of job hunting. The site is primarily composed of career topic articles as well as company, industry, and career profiles. Articles include how to make the most of an internship, resume writing, and job interviewing. The career profiles contain up-to-date information on industry trends, job prospects, and corporate cultures. Other offerings include advice columns, a weekly e-newsletter, and short videos from CareerTV. This site has been highly recommended for all levels of student.

Vault.com: Career Intelligence provides the job/career seeker, a multi-faceted tool that includes descriptive information, interactive functions such as blogs, and the ability of the job seeker to ask career professionals for advice. The site has information on over 10,000 companies, 188 industries, and 430 professions. Besides conducting live job searches, the user may also view sample resumes and cover letters designed for specific career paths. An education section gives overviews of college and graduate school programs with student ratings. Fee-based services include access to an internship database, resume and cover letter reviews, general career coaching, and interview preparation. The free services are very useful, but the content is most valuable and well rounded in the purchased version. This site is recommended to all students, professionals, and general audience.
